§ 2-25. Calling special meetings.

  • Special meeting may be held at the call of the mayor by serving notice on each member of the council not less than twenty-four (24) hours before the time set for such special meetings; or special meetings may be held as provided by Code of Ala. 1975, § 11-43-50, as amended, whenever two (2) councilmember's request in writing that the presiding officer call such meeting; upon failure or refusal of the presiding officer to call such meeting when requested, the two (2) councilmember's making the request shall have the right to call such meeting. Notice of all special meetings shall be posted on a bulletin board in city hall accessible to the public at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to such meeting.
