§ 2-50. Official bonds.

Every officer and employee of the city handling money or exercising authority over property of the city shall, before entering upon the discharge of official duties, give bond, with surety, to be approved by the city council, in such penalty as the council may prescribe, conditioned for the faithful discharge of the duties of the office and to faithfully account for all moneys received.
